The 32-year-old Asta plays a libertine 17-year-old who must pretend to be a 12-year-old for her “morally strict” millionaire uncle. Good laughs at first, but runs out of steam. The ending, however, came as quite a surprise to me. But the lesson was that even though in 2026 uncle-niece marriages are still strictly prohibited in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and Italy, they are permitted in Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland - and have been permitted in Germany since 1900. Rather surprising to see such diversity among Western Eurupe states in something as foundational as kinship marriage laws.
