The Ballet Dancer (Balletdanserinden)
The title suggests a story of a ballet dancer - right? But she never dances, only appearing in a ballet costume for the first 45 seconds of the film, then becomes The Actress. But the story has nothing to do with either ballet or theatre. It's just another Nordisk tale of lust on the loose. Worse - the title character isn't even in on the lust. And although we are to assume she is driven by jealousy, it's not clear why because her relation to the lustful lad is barely hinted at. Maybe some footage was lost? In any case, what remains is a stiff hokey performance that seems to drag on much longer than its mere 37 minutes.
