The Lighter Side of Rape
This film shows the price paid by the rapist for replacing charm and attraction with brute force: terminally damaged fashion sense.
This seems to be an edited version because the murder of the 4th of her rapists is not shown - in fact, never happens!
Instead, what is shown is wildly inconsistent:
- She is shown brandishing a sword and telling the rapist he will die.
- Then he stumbles downstairs and writhes, with no blood or other signs of injury.
- Police get a call that there has been a murder in the gambling house.
- When police arrive the "murder" victim is walking to the ambulance!
- But we know that she does actually kill the 4th rapist, because his death is shown at 0:40 - impaled on the sword!
The full murder scene is shown (and described, in detail, by the director) in the 2005 documentary
Taiwan Black Movies (台灣黒電影). The documentary also mentions that alternate
versions were sometimes filmed for the export market in SE Asia. This may be such an export version.
