Hours after a two-week ceasefire was announced in the US-Israeli war on Iran, Israel bombed across Lebanon - without warning - killing hundreds, wounding thousands. Outside of the US, Israel's steadfast arms suppliers reached back to their Gaza genocide playbook to recycle their standard Statements of Condom Nations (aka “scumbag states”):

Italy, Israel's third-largest arms supplier [4/15 UPDATE: Italy has finally suspended defence cooperation with Israel]

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni urged Israel to end its assault on Lebanon, saying that it has “disrespected” the proposed US/Iran ceasefire and violated international law

Germany, Israel's second-largest arms supplier

Chancellor Friedrich Merz: “The severity with which Israel is waging war [in Lebanon] could cause the peace process as a whole to fail. And that must not happen,”

UK, provider of about 15% of the components for the F-35 fighter jets Israel uses in attacks on Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon

Prime Minister Keir Starmer's comdemnation used the strong language of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: “That shouldn’t be happening. That should stop. That’s my strong view”.

Spoken, appropriately, with a barely stifled snicker...
