  • On 27 March 2020, South Africa closed its airspace and the majority of its land border posts, including thirteen posts with Botswana, effectively closing Botswana. Although South Africa reopened on 18 September 2020, Botswana's borders remain closed, only allowing entry to nationals, and there are currently no commercial flights arriving or departing.

Yellow Fever
The World Health Organization reports (15 November 2018) no risk of yellow fever in Botswana. The government of Botswana requires proof of a yellow fever vaccination certificate for travellers arriving from or having transited through countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
- Transit Without Visa with a confirmed onward ticket for the first connecting flight to a third country. Must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.
