General Policy
  1. Starting 15 March 2022, international commercial flights resumed services to international tourists.
  2. Starting 15 March 2022, air passengers are no longer required to take a COVID-19 test or quarantine upon arrival.

  2. E-visa issuance has also been reinstated.
Vaccination
  • Vaccination not required.
Testing
  • All travellers entering via air must present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result using RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method within 72 hours before entry into Vietnam, or have a negative rapid test result within 24 hours before departure, certified by the competent authority of the country where the test is performed.
Data Collection
  • All travellers must submit health declaration, and install a Covid-19 mobile phone application.
Movement Restrictions
  • Quarantine not required.
Insurance
  • Upon arrival, travellers must present proof of valid medical/travel insurance covering Covid-19 treatment. Minimum cover USD10,000

Electronic Visa
  • Website: E-Visa Vietnam Immigration Department
  • Application processed in 3 working days.
  • E-visa only available for single entry stay up to 30 days. Visas for longer stay and multiple entry can be obtained through embassy or consulate.
Transit
- Holders of confirmed onward tickets are permitted transit without visa in international transit area for up to 24 hours.
- International transit passengers are permitted to stay overnight in the transit lounge. However, there are limited airport facilities available.

Additional Notes

  1. Visa-exempt entry to Phu Quoc for stay up to 30 days is available for all passports.
