OPEN: to international leisure travel

General Policy

Starting 22 March 2020, entry denied to all travellers. Filipino nationals are exempt and allowed entry.
Starting 1 April 2022, all fully vaccinated travellers are exempt and allowed entry. Travellers must:
- Carry an acceptable proof of vaccination
- Present a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival
- Have visa if required, or a valid ticket to depart within 30 days of arrival if visa-exempt

Visa

Entry for travellers from areas that require a visa for entry, previously denied, has been restored.
If visa-exempt, a valid ticket to depart within 30 days of arrival is required.

Vaccination

Entry denied to travellers not fully vaccinated.
Only the following documents will be accepted as proof of vaccination, and must be presented prior to departure and upon arrival:
- World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis
- VaxCertPH
- National or State digital certificate of the country/foreign government which has accepted VaxCertPH under a reciprocal arrangement
- Other proofs of vaccination permitted by the Philippine Inter-Agency Task Force

Testing

Negative RT-PCR results from a test taken within 48 hours of departure required.
Traveller must self-monitor for symptoms for seven days after arrival, reporting to local government authorities if COVID-19 symptoms begin to exhibit.

Movement Restrictions

Travellers who are unable to present acceptable proof of vaccination will be subject to quarantine in a government facility until the release of a negative RT-PCR test taken on the fifth day, followed by home quarantine until the 14th day.

Insurance

Each traveller must present proof of travel insurance purchased before arrival. The insurance must cover COVID-19 treatment and have a minimum coverage amount of US$35,000 for the duration of stay.

Pre-pandemic visa rules

Passport Validity: 6 months
Other Documents: Must hold valid ticket for return journey to port of origin or next port of destination.
Transit: - Holders of confirmed onward tickets are permitted transit without visa in international transit area for up to 24 hours.

Brazilian and Israeli nationals are given fifty-nine (59) days stay based on existing agreements.
Former Philippines nationals, and their accompanying foreign spouses and minor children, may also enter the Philippines without a visa and stay for a period of one (1) year, provided that they have a passport valid for 6 months beyond the intended stay in the Philippines, a roundtrip ticket, and proof of former Philippine citizenship (e.g. old Philippine passport or birth certificate).
Nationals who are subjects of deportation/blacklist orders of the Department and the Bureau of Immigration shall not be admitted to the Philippines.
