General Policy
Starting 14 January 2021, travel flights allowed to resume.
International Organization for Migration reports: "...the six airports assessed (including one international airport and five domestic airports) have been open since 1 August 2020".
Land borders are restricted.

Visa
Passport with a valid visa is required for all travellers who do not have Chad nationality.
Citizens of Benin, Burkina-Faso, Cameroon, Republic of Central Africa, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Niger are exempt from the visa requirement.
Visa requirements include the following:
An attestation from your employer stating the reason for your travel to Chad
Possess an invitation letter

Testing
A negative PCR COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of arrival is required for all arriving travellers.
In addition, each traveller staying on in Chad for more than 7 days must be tested in one of the Chadian hospitals entitled to carry out the PCR test.
Data Collection
Travellers who will stay less than 7 days in Chad are not required to quarantine, but must be prepared to declare the contacts they make during their visit.
Movement Restrictions
Arriving travellers must stay at home or in a hotel, respecting prevention measures such as social distancing, wearing a mask, and frequent handwashing for 7 days.

Yellow Fever
The World Health Organization reports (15 November 2018) a risk of yellow fever in Chad. The government of Chad requires proof of a yellow fever vaccination certificate for
all travellers.
Transit
- Transit without visa with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 48 hours. Must have documents required for the next destination.
