  • Website states:"This online service, represent only the collection of your application process digitally and the safe delivery to SME. The E-Visa will be sent to you by email provided all the data and documents are validated and visa request is approved by SME. It is not designed to substitute your physical presence at the consulate (which is mandatory at a subsequent phase), which means the Visa itself can only be granted after a visit to the consulate has taken place, including an interview and biometric data collection and Visa fee payment have all successfully done."
  • Website states that evisa application requires submission of these supporting documents:" Vaccine Certificate: Valid International Vaccine Certificate; Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation; Proof of Livelihood: Proof of Livelihood equivalent to 200USD for each day of stay in the territory"
Yellow Fever
The World Health Organization reports (15 November 2018) a risk of yellow fever in Angola. The government of Angola requires proof of a yellow fever vaccination certificate for all travellers.
Transit
- Holders of confirmed onward tickets are permitted transit without visa in international transit area for up to 24 hours.

Additional Notes

  1. Stay is extendable.
  2. Evisa website states: "The tourist visa must be used within 60 days following the date of issue, is valid for one or multiple entries, allows the stay in Angola for a period of up to 30 days and can be extended once for an equal period."
  3. State Dept. cautions: "Angolan authorities confiscated the U.S. passports of a family for several weeks after they complained to immigration officials about the time it took to process their visas and passports at the airport."
