General Policy

Starting 22 April 2021, international passenger air travel into and out of Fiji for non-medical purposes is suspended for at least 14 days.
As of 8 February 2021, Fiji has completely closed borders to flights, prohibiting all departures and arrivals, with the exception of limited evacuation and cargo flights. Fiji Airways has suspended flights up until 31 March 2021.
On 21 June 2020, the government announced a pilot project, "Blue Lane", that opened a single port to yachts and pleasure craft. Cruise ships are strictly banned.

Testing

Upon arrival, all travellers must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test from within 72 hours of departure. Lab test results must be shown on a laboratory letterhead.
Upon arrival, a second PCR test will be conducted by the Fiji Ministry of Health, cost of test to be borne by the vessel. Test results are received within 48hrs.

Data Collection

Submit completed entry application to your appointed yacht agent and an itinerary.
Download and activate the careFiji contact tracing app.
Activate vessel's AIS so that the Fijian Navy can confirm uninterrupted sailing.

Movement Restrictions

If the travel time to Fiji was more than 14 days uninterrupted sea travel, then if the post-arrival PCR test result is negative, no quarantine is required, and the vessel will be allowed to visit other ports throughout Fiji freely.
If the travel time to Fiji was less than 14 days, the remaining days until 14 days elapses must be spent in quarantine in Fiji at traveller's expense.

Pre-pandemic visa rules

Passport Validity: 6 months
Other Documents: Must present return ticket to country of residence or citizenship, confirmed address in Fiji, and proof of sufficient funds
Transit: - Holders of confirmed onward tickets are permitted transit without visa in international transit area for up to 3 hours.; - Source cautions: "Visitors transiting Fiji for another destination within 72 hours after entry into Fiji will need to apply for a transit visa before arriving in Fiji. Proof of approved visa and onward ticket for the next country of destination after Fiji is needed."

Maximum stay is six months. Four months initially is given on arrival upon meeting all entry requirements. Two months can be issued through applying for extension.
