General Policy
Only citizens of the countries with which Kazakhstan resumed direct flights, and who are arriving from that country on a direct flight can enter. Kazakhstan has resumed direct flights with the following countries : Russian Federation, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Belarus, Netherlands, Germany, UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Georgia.

Visa
Starting 1 January 2022, visa-free entry (for up to 30 days, to enter-exit and stay ) resumes for 57 countries.
Testing
Starting 17 January 2022, all arriving travellers (including vaccinated travellers, citizens, and residence permit holders) must have a negative PCR test certificate. No more than 72 hours should pass from the day of collection of biomaterial till the moment of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan. PCR test certificate must be in English, Russian or Kazakh languages.

Transit
- Transit without visa is available at Almaty and Astana airports, for travellers with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 24 hours. Must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.
