Transit
- Transit Without Visa with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 48 hours. Must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.
Dual Nationality
State Dept. reports: "U.S. citizens of Tunisian origin and dual American-Tunisian citizens are expected to enter and exit Tunisia on their Tunisian passports. If a Tunisian-American succeeds in entering using a U.S. passport, he or she will still have to present a valid Tunisian passport to exit the country. If a U.S. citizen enters Tunisia on a Tunisian passport, he or she must exit on a Tunisian passport."

  1. State Dept. reports: "A residence permit is needed for stays longer than 90 days. The residence permit can be obtained from the central police station of the district of residence."

Air, sea, land borders reopened, but entry limited
  • On June 27, after more than three months of closure, air, sea and land borders were reopened. Both incoming and outgoing international flights have resumed.

  • GOV.UK reports: "Entry requirements into Tunisia vary depending on the prevalence of the epidemic in travellers’ country of residence. The Tunisian authorities have classified the UK as a “Green” country...Tunisian authorities now permit individuals resident in the UK to travel to Tunisia, with no requirement to take a test before departing or self-isolate on arrival. Lists of countries classed as “Green”, with a low prevalence of the epidemic, and “Orange”, with a medium prevalence of the epidemic, are published (in French) online. See further information. The Tunisian authorities are updating country classifications regularly...".
