Yellow Fever
The World Health Organization reports (15 November 2018) a risk of yellow fever in Central African Republic. The government of Central African Republic requires proof of a yellow fever vaccination certificate for all travellers.
- Holders of a confirmed onward ticket for a flight on the same aircraft to a third country are are permitted transit without visa. They must stay in the aircraft or in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.

  1. State Dept. cautions:"The Central African Republic does not require visas for visits under 180 days by U.S. passport holders. However, not all airlines will board U.S. passport holders without a valid visa, so travelers are advised to check with their carrier."
  2. State Dept. warns: "The U.S. Department of State advises against all travel to the CAR. Embassy Bangui cannot provide consular services to U.S. citizens in CAR at this time. U.S. citizens in need of assistance should contact the U.S. Embassy in Yaoundé, Cameroon."
